Biography

As a soil scientist and burgeoning ceramic artist I am obsessed with clay in all of its potential forms. I am deeply interested in our collective relationship with natural resources and Earth itself.

The process of pottery offers a unique opportunity to blend soil science with art and education by investigating why the soil forming factors are related to the clays used in ceramics, where to find clay, and how cultures understand and manage their natural resources.
